About the Artist:
Dan Grissom is a designer, illustrator, painter, print-maker and musician originally from rural Louisiana that lives and works in Austin, TX. He's done all of those things professionally in varying capacities for the past 15 years or so. In the Spring of 2017, he became a full-time freelance illustrator and screen printer, working out of his garage that he calls Biscuit Press. In this air conditioned, but still pretty hot garage, he prints his own work along with his longtime friend / letterpress artist Lindsey Verrill and his dog Buck. He has a 1949 Kluge open face letterpress that he can also set up for die cutting, as well as a full setup for screen printing flat stock posters and art prints. Lindsey has a Vandercook Universal he flatbeds letterpress from the late 1950s.
