While hundreds of shows were rescheduled or canceled during the COVID-19 pandemic, we amplified messages of community, solidarity, and hope via our marquee in the heart of downtown Austin. 

"KINDNESS IS PARAMOUNT" was recently displayed when many states—including Texas—were taking their first steps to reopening. During this time of transition and uncertainty, we emphasized the importance of limiting judgment and practicing empathy. The person you might think is “overdoing it” with safety concerns could be medically vulnerable. The person you might judge for getting out too soon could be struggling financially and need to work.
